Drive-In Rack Drive-Thru Rack Solutions

Storage Problem:

AFFORDABLE DENSE PALLET STORAGE

UNARCO Drive-In Rack and Drive-Thru Rack Systems provide the an unmechanized, low-cost solution for warehouses with many pallets of the same size.  Drive-In rack uses rails which run the entire depth of the rack and pallets rest on these rails.  Drive-In and Drive-Thru bays can go as deep as needed and are only limited by the drivers ability.  A driver must be able to place pallets inside the rack and rest them on the rails as well as retrieve the pallets.

The difference between Drive-In Pallet Rack Systems  and Drive-Thru revolves around the retrieval of pallets.  Drive-In Rack provides access from one side while Drive-Thru Rack forklift drivers place a load from one side and retrieve it from the opposite end.

Drive-In Rack is considered Last-In-First-Out (LIFO) inventory retrieval organization and Drive-thru Rack is First-In-First-Out (FIFO).  Select the option that is right for your warehouse inventory rotation.

Either system, Drive-In or Drive-Thru Rack is easy to install.  The support arms bolt to the face of the uprights and holt the rails rigid.  The UNARCO Drive-In rail system can be placed on any pallet rack upright and in either roll-formed or structural steel rack.

specially designed sloped-leg frames to add extra clearance and safety for forklift movement within the aisles. This greatly reduces the risk of impact damage to front

Drive-In Rack and Drive-Thru Rack should be used for large volumes of like-product. Because of the high density storage, product is not easily accessible as pallets are stored floor to ceiling. However, dense storage can create space for up to seven times more product than floor stacking or three times more than pallet rack because pallets are stored back-to-back, floor-to-ceiling.

A Drive-In Rack System requires close attention to pallet rack safety rules and a forklift driver’s initiative to report pallet rack damage to the Drive-In System. Since drivers must drive into the rack system, there is increased potential for rack damage.

System Highlights:

Both Drive-In and Drive-Thru Rack offer an extremely dense storage option when compared to standard selective rack which uses a large amount of space for aisles.

  • Cost-effective use of warehouse space

  • Elimination of aisles

  • Standard forklift equipment work perfectly with Drive-In Rack

  • Either LIFO or FIFO inventory management is available between the two systems

  • Available in roll-formed or structural rack designs

Let UNARCO design specialty uprights with sloped legs or reinforced posts to help minimize damage in any Drive-Thru system.
